The architecture, landscaping, look and feel was really nice. The location on the beach was great.
I had difficulty convincing the staff to help me resolve issues - such as helping to arrange outings, etc. The hotel room was nice, but full of mosquitos. There was no internet in the room, at the restaurant, or at the bar - only back in the lobby area.
We really enjoyed our stay at this resort. With its Beachside location and short walk to great cafes and restaurants, it really has everything going for it. Generally, staff were friendly. Our Deluxe room was fabulous. We particularly enjoyed the seafood bbq and took advantage of the spa.
bed mattress was a bit hard and pillows not comfortable at all.
Upmarket, modern room and decor but nicely fused into tropical gardens and adjacent traditional buildings. Only 20metres to the beach and the most knowledgeable and effective massueses in the universe (or at least Bali!).
The bar was near the beach but 'sunken' beside the swimming pool and it just didnt have the 'pull' to get us drinking there so we went looking elsewhere.
The location by the beach and not far from shops etc
The room we had was ok, but as it had a stair way going to the room up the top it allowed all the noise to filter down. Which when a family with a small child moved in made it hard to sleep. The staff were good but unlike another place we stayed at were not quite as much fun, talkative.
Very pleasant stay. Staff helpful upgraded to suite so churlish to criticr anything really. Lovely grounds,3 pools and right on the beach
The hotel has good accommodation and facilities located on the beach front at Sanur. It is much quieter in Sanur than other resorts and there is a beach front promenade at the back of a good beach which has other hotels and beach front restuarants off it. The hotel, although modern, is in the Balinese style and the grounds of the Griya Santrian are very lush and tropical with many attractive Balinese architectural features.
Great seaside location, staff was very friendly and efficient with some nice touches e.g. surprise cake for my girlfriend's birthday. Will definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family travelling to Bali.
Only criticism would be on beach which should have been cleaned up more often.
The two swimming pool are fantastic, especially the one that is not in front of the beach.
Very nice pools, close to the beach
room 145 smelled like pee. The room was al little bit old fashioned compared to the price we payed (240 us Dollars for 2 nights)
its was beautiful beachfront and central to shopping and restuarants. very relaxing
I didn't like the fact that they don't include breakfast in their package so we went elsewhere for breakfast as their buffet is really expensive and not worth it
The main pool and swim up bar are lovely and have a stunning view over the ocean
Friendly staff, great location (best in Sanur) and beautifully maintained hotel
No fitness centre
Location was good. Really liked the deluxe rooms. They were modern and clean(unlike the garden view room)
Very dated garden view room smells of mould.Charged extra to change room from not satisfactory roomthese rooms are not worth the price charged. If we had to stayin that room it would have spoilt the holiday!!
Room was recently renovated and lovely. Pool was perfect for a family holiday with a 3yo and right next to the beach. General atmosphere was calm, relaxed and nothing was too much trouble.
Pool towels were not always fresh and the older ones smelly especially when wet - but seems to be a common problem in Bali...
One of the best hotels in Sanur, beautifull garden and pools. Very good food.
Except the pools, no facilities for small children like: no children tv-channel (whats the point of having 7 Indonesian channels for a hotel where hardly any Indonesians will stay), you can rent a bike, but children seats are not available, no kids menu ... I guess the main target for Griya Santrian is the group of are older people (above 50).
